Goudelock: “Nobody in Europe can beat us”

After the big win in Tel Aviv and the first ever qualification of Fenerbahce/ Ulker to the Euroleague Final Four, Nikos Zisis was ready to celebrate.

As he said, despite being new to the team, he understands what this qualification means: “It was a great game. I think both teams could have won this game. It went down to one play. We could have lost it at the end of regulation. Drew made a great play at the end of overtime and we had a stop. I am new to the team; I am only here four months. But I understand what it means for Fenerbahce to go to the Final Four. It’s a historic moment. It was definitely a good game for me, but it was all about the team and winning to get to the Final Four. I want to dedicate this to the millions of fans we have back in Turkey. Also, I need to dedicate the qualification to my teammate Ricky Hickman. He got injured and we are thinking about him all the time.”

Andrew Goudelock is ready to go all the way: “We were battling back and forth all game. We missed a lot of shots down the stretch. So did they; everybody was just fighting. We just grinded it out. I missed maybe four or five shots that I normally made before, so I felt like I was due for at least one. I saw a seam to the hole and my teammates got me the ball. They ran the play perfectly and I got an easy layup. We don’t think anybody in Europe can beat us. We can only beat ourselves.”
