As Panathinaikos announced just before Game 4 at OAKA against CSKA, Nikos Pappas extended his contract with the team until 2018. His current contract was expiring at the the summer of 2016.
Pappas is considered a big part of the team’s future and he proved during this season’s Euroleague that he is probably the most gifted offensive player of his generation in Greece. It remains to be seen if he will evolve into the leader of the team in the post-Diamantidis era, a scenario which is more than probable.
