The contenders for the Euroleague title are getting restless as the season is nearing its start and they all want to send their message. Among the contenders there is a place for Real Madrid, as its new leader, Rudy Fernandez, insisted.
It was his time to start training with the team and as europapress.es reported he is back with a vengeance: “I am returning to Europe, as a member of Real Madrid, in order to be its leader. I will bring my experience and talent in order to help my team win as many titles as possible”.
And that means winning the Euroleague: “Last season, we performed well on the group phase of the competition. I can’t speak about what happened next, because I left for the NBA (ed.note: after the lock out ended), but for sure we want to be competitive and we want to win the title”.
Rudy was also asked about the great rival of Madrid, Barcelona, and he stated that he want to be concentrated on his team: “My focus is Real Madrid. Barcelona is a great team and made good moves in the summer, but the main think for us is to do our job right”.
