After the defeat by Olympiacos, coach Pascual proved that he is above everything else a real sportsman. During the Reds celebrations, he asked to visit Olympiacos locker room and he congratulated every member of the team for the win and the qualification to the Final Four.
Despite the obvious bad mood of the Catalans – with the exception of captain Juan Carlos Navarro no other player spoke to the press – the gesture of Pascual surprised in the best possible way Olympiacos and the management of the team. As the vice president Giorgos Skindilias said: “He proved that he is not only a great coach, but also a great person”. After a while, when Barcelona exited the stadium, the fans of Olympiacos which were still celebrating for their team gave also to the guests a standing ovation.
