Sergio Rodriguez and Rudy Fernandez are probably the biggest stars of Real Madrid and if you wish to call them that way, the hosts of the Euroleague Final Four. That’s why we saved them for last.
For “El Chacho” it obvious how important this event is for the “Whites”: “It is very difficult to get to the Final Four and every year that make me, we know how important it is to play it. It is played in Madrid this year and we lost the last two finals. We are looking forward to it and have prepared all season for these games. I am sure it will be a very difficult game. Fenerbahce is a team with a lot of talent, a great coach and what is most important; they arrive in a very good momentum, perhaps in its best shape this season. Rebounds and defense will be critical. We have to play with high intensity and can’t make mistakes that they can take advantage of.”
Rudy added: “I feel good. I am not talking about my injury, because I feel good. I think Fenerbahce has one of the best rosters in Europe, they showed everyone that they deserve to be here by getting rid of Maccabi 3-0 in their playoff series. They have a great team and a great coach. Our options rely on knowing how we like to play. We have to impose our rhythm and then on top of that, play good defense on all their players.”
