Is there a best way to start the season, than winning a cup? Even though the Supercup in any country isn’t the most prestigious competition, Zalgiris Kaunas won it in Lithuania after two games against Lietuvos Rytas.
In the first game, back in 5th of September, Zalgiris won the game in its court by 18 points (89-71) and that score proved in the end more than enough for the team of coach Plaza. On Monday night the second game was played and the end result was… a draw 87-87 after a three pointer by Zalgiris Croatian’s guard Marko Popovic.
