Xavi Pasucal became the head coach of Barcelona just when he was 36 years old back in February of 2008. Now he is 40 years old and after one Euroleague title, three Spanish championships and two Spanish cups he is considered a household name. Not bad at all and that’s why Barcelona decided to keep him on its bench at least until the summer of 2015.
There were some rumors in the summer, about Barcelona being a possible destination for legendαry Zeljko Obradovic – who also owns a house in the city – but the Catalan powerhouse is fully backing its coach with a new deal.
Also, Olympiacos completed its roster with 21 years old Greek forward/ center Giorgos Georgakis (2,05 m.). He was a regular member of junior national teams and signed a three years deal with the Reds.
