Second straight defeat for Maccabi TA

Preseason is in full action all over Europe and on Saturday night Maccabi Tel Aviv was shocked once again in the Nuremberg tournament, after being defeated by German champions Brose Baskets Bamberg by 77-70. Former NBA forward Boki Nachbar (photo) with 22 points was the top scorer for the winners. On the contrary Olympiacos got it’s second straight successful result (96-86) vs. BC Khimki. On Sunday the Reds will play against Maccabi Tel Aviv.

For BEKO Leagues Cup 2012, Besiktas didn’t have any problem against Zalgiris Kaunas (75-57) and they reached the final. Curtis Jerrells reached 14 points and Patrick Christopher added 12, while Damir Markota had 11p. and 9 rebounds. For Zalgiris, Oliver Lafayette was the only one with double digit (12 points).

The trophy of the tournament belongs to KK Buducnost, after their 76-75 win over Pinar Karsiyaka

Galatasaray Medikal Park is the champion of International Banvit TÜBAD, after they beat Banvit (79-73). David Hawkins was the leader (17 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists), Cenk Akyol gave 13 points, Ersin Dağlı 10 points and 9 rebounds and Furkan Aldemir also had 10 points. Also, Anadolu Efes was defeated in Croatia by Cibona Zagreb 70-66.
