If you insist lone enough, in the end you will get what you want. At least, that’s what happened in the case of Stephane Lasme and Panathinaikos. The Greens officially announced the signing of 30years old Gabonese center who tried his luck once more in NBA summer leagues, but could not get a contract at the other side of the Atlantic.
After a year in Spain with Obradoiro, Lasme will have the chance to play again in Euroleague, like he did for two seasons as member of Partizan (2008-2009) and Maccabi Tel Aviv (2009-2010). He was the first choice of Panathinaikos‘ coach Argiris Pedoulakis who sees in defensive specialist Lasme the ideal partner of Sofoklis Shortsanitis in the paint. According to Eurohoops.net sources Lasme signed a one year contract with an option for a second season with a yearly compensation of 500.000 dollars.
