Galatasaray will have the chance to measure its strength against Maccabi Tel Aviv. The Turkish club and the Israeli champions will face off in the final of Paris’ tournament after strolling in the semifinals against teams of moderate quality.
Maccabi Tel Aviv led by forward Nik Caner-Medley (23 p.) beat host Paris-Levallois 87-79 on Saturday’s semifinal. The team of coach David Blatt got the a nine points lead after the end of the first quarter (25-16) and Paris could not react efficiently enough since then. The same happened in the win of Galatasary against Belgium’s league runner up Spirou Charleroi (64-50). David Hawkins with 18 points was the top scorer of the Turkish club which also had an easy night.
