Besiktas got the first trophy of the season in Turkey. Efes Anadolu had the… golden chance to win President’s Cup, but Jordan Farmar made a turnover 3’’ before the end and Besiktas won (77-75). It could be a different story because of what happened six minutes before the end of the game, when Besiktas used for 13 seconds four foreign players (Jerrells, Vidmar, Dasic, Christopher), something that’s forbidden in Turkey’s domestic competitions. However, Efes didn’t appeal against it and Besiktas won the fourth title in row after last years’ triple crown.
In Germany, Brose Baskets won one more crown and started the season with the best possible way. Ulm gave a real fight to the champions, but eventually lost in the extra time (102-98). That was the seventh win of Bamberg against Ulm and their third Super Cup in row.
