After a week of rumors finally it seems that the deal is done. In a puzzling decision Zalgiris Kaunas decided to let Mantas Kalnietis continue his career to Lokomotiv Kuban with a three years contract. Lokomotiv was in the market for a guard, after the return of Yogev Ohayon to Maccabi Tel Aviv due to the FIBA decision on his case. The deal is not official yet, but Lithuanian media consider it done with Kalnietis leaving a Euroleague team for one which play in Eurocup.

In Athens, new player of Panathinaikos Stephane Lasme (photo) landed with his family and he tried to deny the rumors about him not being eager to return to Europe this season. As he said in the airport: “Of course, I wanted to be here. Who wouldn’t? I am happy to be here and it’s a great opportunity for me. I know that a lot of thinks were said about my intentions this summer, but Panathinaikos is a great team”.

In Bamberg, Brose Baskets announced on Thursday the extension of coach Chris Fleming’s contract until the summer of 2016. This deal applies also for his assistants Arne Woltmann and Stefan Weissenbock. Also the team signed Latavious Williams to a two month deal as a temporary replacement for injured A.J. Ogilvy.
