The end is all but official for Olympiacos and Joey Dorsey. The American player after skipping without any excuse two practices on Friday and Saturday and also the game against Ikaros on Sunday, presented himself to GM Christos Stavropoulos, as he was asked by the team, on Monday in order to explain his behavior.
Dorsey apologized to the team and his teammates but that at this point, this doesn’t change much. He will be released without any compensation because he has violated the internal code of conduct – which he had signed – of the team and Olympiacos will try to find a replacement from the players who have been cut by NBA teams.
The Reds were unprepared for something like this and that also applies to Dorsey. He has already deleted his facebook account, where he had posted that he has some offers from the other side of the Atlantic. According to Eurohoops sources, there isn’t any substantial interest for him from the NBA.
