Dimitris Giannakopoulos attended the game of EA7 Milano vs Cedevita, but the purpose of his visit to Milan was served on Friday. The owner of Panathinaikos, together with the agent of Antonis Fotsis, Tasos Delibaltadakis, met with a representative of the Italian team in order to discuss the possibility of a mid season transfer.

As it was also reported by the Greek newspaper “Prasini” the Greens are offering 400.000 euros to Milano for the buy out and are willing to pay the rest of Fotsis’ contract till the end of the season, a sum close to 800.000 euros. There isn’t yet a final answer by the Italian side, but the offer of Panathinaikos still stands, as the Greens have the luxury to wait.

After the win at Cantu the Greek team has virtually secured its place in Top16, so the deal with EA7 Milano for Fotsis can be completed until the end of Euroleague’s regular season. The same applies to Jason Kapono case. Panathinaikos will wait for the family emergency with the pregnancy of the player’s wife to be resolved and he can travel to Greece in order to join the team even in January.
