Anadolu Efes and CAI Zaragoza are targeting one of the most precious young Εuropean prospects. He is a Greek player – with his family origin being Nigerian – Yiannis Adetokunbo who will be 18 years old on the 6th of December, belongs to the Filathlitikos club and this season plays in Greece’s second pro division.
He is 2,06 m. tall (with a wingspan of 2,20 m.!) and he is one of the few point guards around the world with this kind of body. CAI Saragosa from Spanish Liga Endesa is the club that tries the hardest to sign him as soon as possible and has constant contact with his Greek club and the player himself.
However, Turkish giant Anadolu Efes also follows his progress in the last few months. During last week’s visit to Greece for the Euroleague game against Olympiacos, members of the Turkish team saw the player in a private workout, and in his last game this Tuesday for the junior championship between Filathlitikos and Amintas, Efes had a special scout for him in the stands. So, it seems that it’s only a matter of time for the young player to sign his first pro contract…
