500.000 euros buy out for Fotsis

The policy of EA7 Armani Milano is denial, however there are talks between the team and Panathinaikos with the subject being the mid-season transfer of Antonis Fotsis. The player is ready to sign a contract with the Greens until the summer of 2015, the Greek team wants to add him in its roster before the end of Euroleague transfer deadline (20th of February) and it’s willing to pay him until the end of the season the rest of his current contract with Milano, meaning 400.000 euros.

Milano wants to make an even bigger profit from the transaction, asking from the Greens a 500.000 euros buy out in order to let Fotsis go according to tovima.gr. Panathinaikos doesn’t want to pay anything, but the negotiations are ongoing and nothing can be ruled out yet. Specially if the rumors about Milano trying to get Milan Macvan from Galatasaray are correct. However, no source from Turkey at this point confirms the fact that Galatasaray is interested to part with any player, despite its reported financial difficulties.

UPDATE: According to sources from Italy, EA7 Armani Milano is upset with Panathinaikos, because the Greeks got a deal with Fotsis without contancting directly the team (Milano still denies any kind of contact with Panathinaikos). Moreover, according to the same sources, Fotsis wants to be paid 80% of his salaries for the 2012-13 season and that’s why Milano wants a buy out in order to let him go.
