Smoke, but not fire at least yet!

There is smoke, but not fire! At least not yet. According to reports from Turkey, Dusan Ivkovic is ready to sign a contract with Fenerbahce/ Ulker and there are even stories for a two years contract with a 2.5 million Euros compensation.

But what’s the truth? There are rumors because Duda traveled to Turkey, but the purpose of his trip was to meet and watch the players who are members of the Serbian National Team and are playing in TBL. That’s why before this trip, he went to Moscow.

Fener is looking for a coach and after this season clamorous disaster, the club has decided to sign a big name. Ivkovic seems to be on their list, as also Zeljko Obradovic. Also, Anadolu Efes may want to make a coaching change, if they don’t win the league.

Fener had knocked Duda’s door also last summer, but at this point the only contact for next season between the two sides is Fenerbahce’s showing of interest towards Ivkovic. The Serbian coach will travel to London for the Euroleague’s Final Four and at the end of May he will probably initiate some kind of negotiations. So that’s the real news. Ivkovic is positive in the idea of working for a club again and not be only the coach of the Serbian national team. However in order for this to happen, his demands should be met in full and that means not only to get a contract according to his wishes, but also be in full control of his team, like he did in the past in every club he coached.
