As the Greens are preparing for the Greek league playoffs, they are trying to add one more guard in their roster and the player of their choice is Oliver Lafayette, who is on the verge of winning the LKL with Zalgiris Kaunas

Zalgiris Kaunas is leading 2-0 in the LKL finals over Lietuvos Rytas, however the European season of Oliver Lafayette may not end in Lithuania. As Eurohoops has previously reported, the point guard of Zalgiris is the player that fits the needs of the Greens and even if in the case of the LKL finals being decided in five games, Panathinaikos will have the time to register him for the Greek league playoffs.

However, at this point the question is if Lafayette will be willing to leave Zalgiris before the VTB league play offs, in order to finish the season in Greece and also if Zalgiris will let him leave, despite their well documented financial woes.

It has to be noted that Panathinaikos also considered the possibility of signing an other Zalgiris’ player, Marko Popovic, but according to Eurohoops sources, the player didn’t want to leave Kaunas.
