In a day full of transfers, Anadolu Efes had the last word. Zoran Planinic will continue his career in Turkey, but not for Galatasaray. The experienced Croatian guard decided to play for the next two years for Anadolu Efes, the team he considers having the best Euroleague know how in Turkey.
According to our sources the deal will pay him a little bit more than one million euros per season, Galatasaray‘s offer was better, but Planinic chose Anadolu Efes. Early in the summer Planinic was also a target of CSKA Moscow, but that scenario also included the possibility of Milos Teodosic leaving Moscow, something that at this point doesn’t seem likely to happen.
UPDATE: The deal was confirmed on Saturday morning with Anadolu Efes announcing it.
