After a very strong showing in the first round of Eurobasket 2013, European basketball is rediscovering Finland’s Petteri Koponen and his name is the subject of transfer rumors.
The talented guard has a contract with Russian club Khimki for next season, however Banvit seems to be interested on him and because of his current club financial troubles, the possibility of him continuing his career in Turkey can’t be excluded.
That been said, we have also to mention the fact that both teams will be direct opponents in the Euroleague qualifying round, in which the last open spot in the upcoming season competition will be decided.
