Six months after their first contact, Olympiacos targets again Andre Smith. The American power forward was about to sign with the Reds in the start of 2014 instead of Jamario Moon but his team, Venezia didn’t let he go and he stayed in Italy.

As he confirmed back then: “They spoke with my team. My team declined to make a deal. It’s a great feeling to have a team like Olympiacos show interest in me”.

The 29-year-old player had an excellent season (17.4 points having 62% 2ps, 40% 3ps, 69% FTs, 7.2 rebounds and 2 assists per game) and as he said in his interview in Eurohoops his dream was to play in a Euroleague team.

Olympiacos intends to release Brent Petway (there is a team option in his contract until the 15th of July) and replace him with Smith.
