One of the “hottest” guards in the summer market signed a new big contract. After Tyrece Rice, Malcolm Delaney is not a free agent any more and he is leaving Euroleague, having a great two seasons deal with Lokomotiv Kuban for 2,5 millions US dollars.
A lot of top Euroleague teams – like Olympiacos and Fenerbahce – targeted the American guard who shined this season with Bayern Munich but the winners in that race were the Russians, as their offer couldn’t been matched.
Delaney won three years in row the domestic championships (in France with Chalon, in Ukraine with Budivelnik and in Germany with Bayern) and hopes to do the same in the VTB League and the Eurocup.
