Last Sunday Turkey won gold in Eurobasket U18, after also winning Eurobasket U20 earlier in the summer and the MVP of the tournament Egemen Guven turned heads even on the other side of the Atlantic, like some other European talent also did. Turkey has a bright basketball future and for Guven that means interest from the University of Kentucky.

Αccording to Eurohoops sources the young center of Karsiyaka has a scholarship offer and he is thinking about the possibility of playing in the NCAA. The same applies for Croatian center Marko Arapovic. His offer comes from an other famous basketball program, Duke, and the possibility of leaving Cibona in order to play for coach Krzyzewski is tantalizing. One more Croatian prospect, Ivan Bender, the older brother of “wonderkid” Dragan Bender, has an offer from the NCAA, from Maryland to be exact.
