Mavroeidis also in the game

Panathinaikos doesn’t have a coach yet, but the management of the team is moving in the transfer market in order to add Greek players in their roster. It’s something logical, since the Greens want to reinforce their Greek core with new players.

According to Eurohoops sources Panathinaikos improved its offer to Mike Bramos and it should be considered a surprise if the Greek forward isn’t a member of their roster by next season.

There is even bigger movement concerning the front line. Panathinaikos waits to know what are the intentions of Mike Batiste about next season. In the meantime, there has been an offer to Ian Vougioukas and talks with Sofoklis Shortsanitis. The proposed amount of money is the same in both cases, roughly 500.000 euros per season.

Panathinaikos, however, has one more Greek “big” in their sights, Dimitris Mavroeidis, and they also made him an offer. Mavroeidis has a contract with Bilbao for next season and in the following days there should be an official answer about his possible buy out, or free exit from the Spanish club.

The point is that Panathinaikos made three good offers (considering the financial conditions in Europe) to Mavroeidis, Bougioukas and Shortsanitis and for sure they are going to try and keep Mike Batiste. So, who are they going to sign? Probably the ones that will accept the deal as soon, as possible!
