David Andersen for sure will leave Mens Sana Siena, something… we know we have told you too many times until now, but it was Ferdinando Minucci’s turn to confirm it, at Radiobasket. Siena’s president also confirmed Bo McCalebb will leave too and that Ksystof Lavrinovic and Rimas Kaukenas are free agents.

Let’s go back to Andersen’s case, since we learned he is heading back to CSKA Moscow, where he was playing from 2004 to 2008. We have to remind you “the army’s team” might have to live some serious changes, if all the guys who have an NBA out… go to the NBA. In any case, Maccabi Tel Aviv also follows Andersen, hoping for the best!

After Greece’s elimination from Olympic Basketball Qualifiers it was about time for Kostas Kaimakoglou to focus on his next contract. And it looks like he is heading after all not to Galatasaray Medical Park, but to Unics Kazan. The Russians are the ones who made the best offer (for two years and more than 2 mil. $) and they give him the chance to play at next year’s Euroleague. In the meantime, Galatasaray Medical Park signed a two-year contract with Cenk Akyol.

In Spain, Krunoslav Simon finalized his two-year (1+1) agreement with Unicaja Malaga, after coach Jasmin Repeca met him to convince him that his team really wants him (as “La opinion de malaga” reported first) and in Italy, Gianuca Basile added his name to Emporio Armani Milano‘s roster. Αs he said “I can only say thanks to Olimpia for their trust in me. The first game I watched, being in an arena, in Serie A was the final of 1991, between Milano and Caserta and I remember spending all the money I had to go to that game, to see the team’s buss, Antonello Riva and… many many more. I felt Olimpia’s charm, right away”. However the biggest transfer move of the last three days was the signing of former Real Madrid‘s center Ante Tomic by Barcelona.
