Minutes after Anadolu Efes dropped the bomb of Jordan Farmar signing, the player himself was ready to explain to Eurohoops.net why he decided to return to Europe. After all, an established NBA guard should have an important reason for such a decision.
His answer was sharp and simple: “It’s a great opportunity and also there was commitment from the team”. Probably the kind of commitment that was not demonstrated by the Nets to him, when they traded him to Atlanta. And of course at Efes he can have the highest goals and win titles: “It’s a chance to win and also it’s very important for me the chance to grow as a player”.
Farmar adapted quickly to European basketball, averaging 14.1 ppg, 4.7 rpg and 4 apg at seven Euroleague games last season with Maccabi Tel Aviv. He left when the NBA lock out ended, but he had a lot for respect for European basketball, as you can read in his March Eurohoops.net interview.
