Fenerbahce/ Ulker needs one more guard in order to complete its roster and their current first option is Theo Papaloukas. Former CSKA Moscow, Olympiacos and Maccabi Tel Aviv‘s guard can be added the back court of the Turkish club, coming off the bench as he preferred for the bulk of his career.

The two sides have initiated talks and the deal could be finalized by the end of the week. However, Fener wants first to clear out the mess with Ilkan Karaman. Otherwise, if the player can’t get out of his Galatasaray contract, coach Pianigiani may need one more foreigner for the front line and that leaves no place in the roster for Papaloukas.

Pianigiani believes that Theo still has some gas in his tank and could help with his experience Fener in order to reach the goal of at least an appearance at Euroleague Final Four.
