Jeremiah Massey (photo) was a hot name for less than a day in Athens, as a target of Panathinaikos. However the former player of Lokomotiv Kuban has more offers to chose from. Alba Berlin needs a replacement for injured Nathan Peavy and Massey seems ideal. Plus, Basket Brose Baskets is thinking about signing him in order to boost its front line.
So, the Greens are also moving in the market, returning to one of the first names that were linked to them during last summer. Gabonese Stephane Lasme, who played last season in Spain with Obradoiro CAB, could be after all the player who will complete the roster of Panathinaikos. Coach Argiris Pedoulakis believes that Lasme can really help the Greens with his defensive skills and will be a good fit for the team. Lasme wanted to try his luck once more in the NBA, but after all he seems ready to return to Europe. Panathinaikos waits for his answer in the following hours.
As for Massey, Berlin or Bamberg will not be a bad destination for him, as he will have the chance to play in Euroleague and show what he can do in the old continent’s biggest stage.
