No Turkish national team for Goudelock

Andrew Goudelock will not get a Turkish passport and play for the Turkish national team in the upcoming Eurobasket, leaving Bobby Dixon as the main candidate for the open spot, despite the possibility of former NBA player Jordan Farmar being in the end the naturalized guard of the team.

However Goudelock clarified via twitter that his decision was based upon personal reasons, denying the rumors that he asked a fee in order to became a Turk. As he wrote: “There have been reports that I asked the Turkish National team for money to play and these rumors are false. I am getting married this summer and that is the reason that I declined the offer to play. I would not disrespect myself or the national team by being so selfish”.
