A pre-selection of just 11 players were announced by the Slovenian national team coach Jure Zdvoc. However among those selected there’s not the name of Goran Dragic. That remains to be seen if it will change in the future.
Meanwhile two times Euroleague defender of the year Bryant Dunston got a Slovenian passport and he is among the team. The other ten players are: Zoran Dragic, Jure Balazic, Jaka Blazic, Ziga Dimac, Nebojsa Joksimovic, Jaka Klobucar, Alen Omic, Klemen Prepelic, Uros Slokar and Gasper Vidmar. Among the big absences of the roster there’s also Beno Udrih who had surgery after the end of his NBA season and can’t help the team.
