As the basketball federation of Serbia announced, the San Antonio Spurs informed them that they prohibit Boban Marjanovic from player in the upcoming Eurobasket, as they have the right to do according to the FIBA – NBA agreement.
Despite the fact that it’s confirmed also by San Antonio doctors that there are no fractures on his left foot, the suggestion of the medical team of the Spurs is for the player to miss the tournament, “despite his great wish to play”, as the press release suggets. The Serbian federation will officially respond to the club and forward the letter to FIBA in which the disagreement with the decision of the Spurs will be expressed. Still, at this point probably nothing can change.
Meanwhile the federation also released to the public the letter that the Spurs sent to them.
