Preparation games are just an indication of things to come, however the 93-55 win of France over Russia is most impressive. The defending champions were firing at all cylinders, while Russia has its own woes.
Not much can be said about a game in which after nine minutes France had a 28-9 lead. Tony Parker and company were great, seven players scored at least 8 points and the duo of Nicolas Batum and Joffrey Lauvergne with 13 points each led the charge. Vitaly Fridzon with 13 points was the only member of Russia who had a kind of decent night.
Nando De Colo added 12 points for the winners, Alexis Ajinca had 11 coming from the bench, as Rudy Gobert (9 p.) was again the starting center.
