After the heavy loss by FYROM, Ukraine beat Israel 88-83. Also, after five straight defeats in ιτσ preparation games, Holland celebrated its first win, against Iceland (73-65).
Alex Mishula (19p. with 5/7 3ps) and the captain Kiryl Fesenko (16p. with 6/6 2ps and 9 rebounds) were the leading scorers of Ukraine in the victory vs Israel. The naturalized American, Jerome Randle dished 7 assists and scored 8 points. Among the losing side Omri Caspi (18 points, 7 assists, 5 rebounds) and Gal Mekel (15 p, 6 rebounds, 6 assists) tried their best.
Holland is the team that played the most preparation games so far, but had to wait until its sixth game to celebrate its first victory. After the defeats by Italy, Germany, Austria, Belgium and Iceland, Holland beat Iceland in their second consecutive game in Reykjavik. Akerboom was the leading scorer with 15 points for the winners. Sigurdarson scored 17 points for the hosts.
