Spain won its first preparation game for the Eurobasket against Belgium 67-64. Llull played its 100th game with the national team. Reyes was the leading the scorer.
During the first half Spain was leading by double digits (47-31, 24′) but everything changed in the last 15′ of the game. Belgium came closer but couldn’t win the game.
Reyes was the leading scorer of Spain with 16 points. Vives, Mirotic and Hernangómez played first time with the Spanish national team. They did a good job offensively and tried to show Scariolo that they are ready to help the team. Llull played its 100th game with Spain. Only 38 players have already achieved this.
Also, Czech Republic beat Japan 86-71 with Jan Vesely shining with 20 points and 13 rebounds. Barton added 16 points and Jelinek 13. Earlier FYROM prevailed over Israel 69-64 behind 13 points by Predrag Samardziski. Omri Caspi and Gal Mekel scored 18 points each for Israel.
