In the 100th game of Nicolas Batum with the French national team, no much was needed in the 90-57 win over Ukraine. Also Finland beat on the road Belgium in Friday’s preparation games for the upcoming Eurobasket.
Batum and Nando De Colo scored 13 points each, leading a balanced offensive effort against one of the weekest teams of the upcoming tournament, which misses many of its key players. Naturalized guard Jerom Randle also with 13 points was the leading scorer of the losing side.
Things were not easy for Finland in a game decided in the last quarter and a 75-62 win over Belgium. Despite missing naturalized guard Matt Lojeski the game was close for 30 minutes, but in the end the guests prevailed, as Gerald Lee had 20 points and Petteri Koponen 15 points and 5 assists.
