In the first day of the Huawei Cup preparation tournament, Lithuania got the easy 86-74 win over Turkey, despite playing without Jonas Valanciunas and Arturas Gudaitis who got rested.
Still the players of coach Kazlauskas were in control from the get go, veteran captain Paulius Jankunas led the way with 14 points and Turkey managed to close the final points difference in the last quarter. Ogus Savas (13 p.) and Semih Erden (11 p.) were good in the paint against Domantas Sabonis (7 p., 8 r.). Lekavicius (11 p.) and Maciulis (10 p.) were the other two players of the winners who scored in double digits.
