On the night Pau Gasol became the second all time scorer in the history of Spanish national team, Felipe Reyes saved the day in the 82-80 win over Venezuela.
Pau with 2.890 points surpassed legendary Emiliano Rodríguez (2.879 points) and he is new second in the list only behind Juan Antonio San Epifanio, or simply called “Epi” who has scored 3.330 points with the Spanish national team. Gasol had 15 points and 9 rebounds in the game, but Reyes was the top scorer with 16 points and also made the winning basket. Venezuela with the duo of Vargas and Perez scoring 15 points each proved to be a hard opponent.
Still Spain remains unbeaten so far in prep games. Rudy Fernandez added 13 points and Nikola Mirotic had 9.
