With 15 days left until the Eurobasket tip off, Georgia, Estonia and Netherlands got the wins on Thursday’s preparation game, even if the last two teams had an easy task.
Georgia on the contrary got a close win over Belgium (70-68). Sam Van Rossom (7 p., 6 as.) lost the chance to send the game in overtime, while Matt Lojeski in his first preparation game with Belgium had 18 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists. For the winners Zaza Pachulia as usual with 17 points was the top scorer, while Jacob Pullen and Beka Burganadze scored 13 points each.
Estonia got an easy win over Iceland in Talin (85-65) behind 19 points and 9 rebounds by Slim Sander Vene. Iceland played without its star, Jon Stefansson and Haukur Palsson scored 17 points. The Netherlands beat the Philippines 89-62 which scored just four points in the third quarter. The duo of Roeland Schaftenaar (15 p.) and Henk Norel (12 p.) were the leaders of the winners, while former NBAer Andray Blatche had 7 points and 12 rebounds for the losing side.
