France’s roster is full of talent, but no one can compare to Tony Parker, who led his team to a difficult 74-72 win.
France struggled to prevail over Belgium who were ahead in the score until the beginning of the last quarter, controlling the game’s rhythm. Tony Parker, though, was excellent with 24 points, having 8/12 shots (3/5 three-point field goals and 5/7 two-point field goals). Rudy Gobert also helped with 6 points and 6 offensive rebounds, while Boris Diaw had 11 points with 5/6 two-point field goals.
On the other side, the Belgians were more balanced in their scoring, with Gillet (13 points), De Zeeuw (10 points), Hervelle (10 points), Tabu (10 points, 8 assists) and Lojeski (9 points with 3/7 three-point field goals) standing out.
