Greece beat easily Bosnia 83-44 thanks to its great defence but everybody will remember this game because of Kostas Papanikolaou’s outburst.
The Greek forward had an NBA rookie season with ups and downs and wanted a game like this one in Xanthi to bounce back. He scored 19 points with 8/9 2ps and 1/3 3ps, grabbed 4 rebounds and made two steals.
Next to him Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 10 points, while the other NBAer Kostas Koufos added 7 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Bourousis helped a lot the Greek team with 11 points and 6 rebounds, while Sloukas scored 10 points and dished 6 assists. Spanoulis and Perperoglou didn’t took part in the game tonight.
Fotis Katsikaris’ players played great defence against Bosnia who had only Kikanovic (16p, 5 rebounds) in good mood.
