Finland finished 9th in the last two Eurobasket tournaments but in the final phase of the preparation for the upcoming one, the “pack of wolves” had a third loss in row (75-70 by Ukraine).
After an impressive start in the preparation period, Finland was defeated again in Koper’s tournament and finished fourth. Jamar Wilson was the leading scorer with 17 points and Petteri Koponen followed with 15 points.
Finland was leading in the first half (33-21, 17′) but Ukraine bounced back with Pustozvonov scoring 14 points, Randle 13 (5 assists) and Fesenko 13 more.
