The first game of the “Acropolis” tournament in Athens, Greece, ended up as a triumph for Turkey. Defense was the key for the 71-53 win over Lithuania.
Ersan Ilyasova with 13 points and Semih Erden with 12 led the offense. On the other hand Lithuania scored just 9 points in the second quarter and 4 in the last, despite having 14 by Jonas Valanciunas. Turkey had just 6 turnovers, while “Lietuva” had 23 and this made all the difference.
