Kenan Sipahi scored 1/2 free throws, Worthy De Jong missed the last shot and after two overtimes Turkey beat Holland (95-94) in the last day of the “Acropolis” tournament in Athens, Greece.
Coach Ataman decided to give minutes to his bench, didn’t use at all Ersan Ilyasova, Bobby Dixon, Melih Mahmutoglu and injured Cedi Osman and almost paid for it. Baris Hersek scored 21 points, Ogus Savas added 18 points and Huseyin Koksal had 13 points. For Holland who gave a great effort Charlon Kloof had 25 points and De Jong 22 and 8 rebounds.
Sinan Guler was hurt during the last minutes of the game in his right ankle, however his injury is not something serious.
