Just days before the Eurobasket tip off, Russia is finally a team. That was proven in the second day of Trieste’s tournament in the 81-69 win over Georgia.
The CSKA duo of Vorontsevich and Fridzon scored 14 points each, however defense was the difference from the first minute of the game almost until the end. Simply put, Russia never let Georgia get into the game, despite 20 points and 7 assists by Zaza Pachulia. Tornike Shengelia added also 13 points for the losing side.
