It was not spectacular, but in the end Greece prevailed over Lithuania (67-62) in the last game of the “Acropolis” tournament. Giorgos Printezis with 14 points was the top scorer of the winners.
However, the spotlight once again was on Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jonas Valanciunas. Giannis is the player who can give the extra push to Greece in order to achieve something big in the upcoming Eurobasket. He finished the game with 10 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists.
On the other hand, Jonas Maciulis in his old home court from his days in Panathinaikos scored 15 points, but Lithuania is clearly Valanciunas’s team. The Raports starting center finished the game with a double double (13 p., 11 r.) and his performance during the Eurobasket will make or break the tournament for his team. Against the Greek center duo of Kostas Koufos and Giannis Bourousis he also had 7 turnovers.
