Ukraine beat Latvia by a point (75-74) and after this win anything goes in Group D! Kyrilo Fesenko with a double double (21 p., 10 r.) led the way for the upset.
The game was close from wire to wire, Latvia had a one point lead at half time (39-38). The first lead of Ukraine was a fact with just 58 seconds before the final buzzer. The score was 73-72, Kristaps Janicenoks put Latvia up again (74-72) and Oleksandr Lypovyi with 2/2 free throws decided the outcome. Latvia has the last shot but didn’t make it.
Ukraine has one more game against Belgium in order to fight for an 11th hour miracle, while Latvia faces Estonia.
