Slovenia did what they had to do, got the easy win over FYROM (62-51) got the third place with a 3-2 record in the Group C final standings and waits to learn which team its going to be its second round opponent.
Zoran Dragic (20 p., 5 r.) and Alen Omic (14 p., 11 r.) led the team of coach Zdovc to the win. For the losing side veteran guard Vlado Iliefski had 15 points. Things were easy for Slovenia which had the game under total control, never trailed and dominated the paint. The first quarter ended with the eventual winners leading by 14 points (24-10), FYROM tried to react, but Slovenia still had a seven points advantage at half time (31-24).
The third quarter ended with a double digits lead for Slovenia (52-41), the best FYROM could do was cut the lead to 8 points (59-51), but a three by Prepelic was the answer and the game was over.
