Nicola Mirotic talked about the upcoming battle with Greece, which he described as a tough team that is based on its defence
As he said: “We faced difficulties, but the most important thing is that we achieved our target. Now, we only think about Greece, which has made a great performance in the tournament so far. It’s a team which specialises on defence and its philosophy and playing style is based on defence. We are expecting a very difficult game and a fight for the qualification to the semi-final. Gasol has helped us a lot, he is amazing, but we cannot expect everything from him. Everybody will need to do his best.”
From Poland, Marcin Gortat talked about the last quarter, which was disappointing for his team, and the…referees as well: “We made a great performance for 30 minutes and we should have achieved more. But in the last quarter we lost our rhythm, Spain quickly took an advantage and we didn’t react at that point. The referees, though, help Spain. We can see that. When the game was close, the referees helped Spain and took many excessively fouls.”
