After getting to the semifinals the French are ready for the big clash against Spain. The French are ready for the repeat, while Spain wants to get revenge after losing the quarterfinal game by them in the last FIBA World Cup.
However Tony Parker is ready for one more big game: “Considering all that happened during the last years, we speak about a classic national team clash. We know them and they know us. The teams which have won the last three Eurobaskets, that says it all. We must be calm, we are ready. There’s no way to stop Pau Gasol. He is a great player. However it’s a team game”.
Rudy Gobert, the key player of the French win last season in Spain added: “They want revenge, they want to beat us at home, like we did last year. We have to be ready in order to get to the final. I have to be ready to play against Gasol”.
Nicolas Batum also said: “We have played many times against each other. I expect a lot of tension and hostility. Both teams want to play for the gold and this will be demonstrated on the court. It doesn’t matter who will be our opponent in the semifinals, we have to get to our target. We want to achieve the “repeat” at our home”.
