Collet stands by his words

On Friday morning, French national team coach Vincent Collet spoke to the press and repeated what he said on Thursday night about the referees helping Spain.

As he said: “In the third quarter the calls that Gasol got, when we were leading by 10 points was the key. I believe that the players have to decide the game. At this moment, that didn’t happened. It was too easy for Spain to get to the free throws line. A 11 fouls difference between the two teams is big. Some of them were real fouls, like those called at the end of the game. I never speak about the referees, but they were in the world of Pau Gasol. Now we have to fight for the bronze, it’s not something small and we will be ready in order to finish the tournament the right way”.
